How do I register?
To register, simply click the Register button on the portal home page, located in the top-right corner. You’ll be prompted to enter your email address. For security purposes, this email must match the one registered with the school. Once entered, you’ll receive a One-Time Passcode (OTP) via text to your registered mobile number. Enter the code to set up your password and complete the registration process.
My email isn’t working when registering
If your email address doesn’t match the one we have on file, you won’t be able to proceed. Please contact StudentRide at saintstephens@studentride.
I didn’t receive a 6-digit code when registering my email
If you don’t receive the One-Time Passcode, it’s likely that your mobile number doesn’t match the records we have on file. Please contact StudentRide at saintstephens@studentride.
Where can I find the bus routes and timetables?
Bus routes and timetables are available on our website. You can view detailed information for each route, including bus stops and departure/arrival times.
What if I would like an additional stop?
Our transport service is flexible and can consider adding additional stops if there is sufficient demand and the proposed stop aligns with current routes. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at saintstephens@studentride.
What if my child needs different stops or routes during the week?
If your child requires travel on different routes throughout the week, you can select the appropriate routes for each day during booking.
If your child travels on the same route but needs to use different stops, please contact us at saintstephens@studentride.
How does billing work?
Will I still be charged if I book a seat but my child does not travel?
This depends on whether the trip is cancelled in time. If you cancel your child’s trip through the StudentRide app, or notify us by email or phone, before the applicable cut-off time, no charge will apply and any pre-paid funds will be held as a credit for future use. If no cancellation is made before the cut-off, the full trip charge will apply.
Cut-off times:
• Morning trips: before approximately 6:45 am (when the driver logs into their route)
• Afternoon trips: before 3:00 pm
If I cancel the booking partway through a term, will I get a refund?
No. This policy ensures accurate planning for routes, stops, vehicle capacity, and associated costs.
How do I cancel or give notice for the bus service?
Bookings must be made in advance for each term. If you decide to cancel the bus service partway through a term, the full term fee will still apply.
Fare Information:
Additional charges for non-compliance:
* The Booked, Not Travelled charge applies only where no cancellation was made before the applicable cut-off time.
Please note: Cancelling your child’s trip through the StudentRide app, or notifying us by email or phone before the cut-off time, means no charge will be applied and any pre-paid amount remains as credit. Notifying the school of an absence is separate from cancelling a bus trip and will not prevent charges from being applied if the trip is not also cancelled through one of the above channels.
What if I need to amend my travel arrangements before the start of term?
Please email saintstephens@studentride.
What should I do if the school bus is running late?
• While our bus providers work hard to minimise delays, unforeseen circumstances like traffic or roadworks may cause disruptions.
• If the bus has not arrived, please wait at the designated stop for 10 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time.
• If the bus still has not arrived after this period, please contact StudentRide on (07) 2812 2889.
What if my child misses the bus?
• To ensure a smooth pick-up, we recommend students arrive at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
• Please ensure students wait outside the car at the bus stop, as buses will not depart before the allocated time.
• Note: if no student is visible at the bus stop, the driver may proceed to the next destination.
• If your child does miss the bus, parents or carers will need to make alternate arrangements to school. Please contact saintstephens@studentride.com.
Cards for Boarding and Tracking
• Students will be issued cards for seamless boarding and disembarking.
• These cards enable real-time tracking of your child’s journey to and from school.
• Parents will receive accurate updates and notifications through the StudentRide Parent App, providing peace of mind regarding their child’s commute.
What happens if I am not available to collect my child from the nominated bus stop?
Drivers will not permit a student from Prep to Year 5 to disembark the bus without a parent, carer, or guardian present at the stop.
If no authorised adult is present when the driver arrives, the following steps will be taken:
• The student will remain safely on the bus and the driver will notify the Bus Administration Team.
• The College will make repeated attempts to contact the app’s primary account holder.
• The driver will continue the route and drop off remaining students.
• The driver will return the student to the College, where they will be supervised until a parent or carer is contacted and able to collect them.
Drivers are not permitted to contact parents directly.
Swipe Cards and Student ID Cards
All students are required to hold a swipe card (Junior College students) or a Student ID card (Senior College students).
If a student has lost their card or the card is faulty, they must attend the IT Department during opening hours for assistance or a replacement card.
The cost of a replacement card is $5.
If you need further assistance, feel free to contact a member of the StudentRide team by emailing saintstephens@studentride.
Phone support will be available during service times.
Before making a booking, parents and caregivers must read and accept the full StudentRide Terms & Conditions.
Please view the complete Terms & Conditions here: Terms & Conditions
Important – Primary-aged students:
For all students in Primary school, pick up and drop-off is face-to-face only (a parent, caregiver, guardian or Secondary school sibling must be at the bus stop).
